Solar roof installation becomes one of the largest in Europe

In 2018, W. P. Carey funded an expansion of a logistics facility in the Netherlands for its tenant, Nippon Express. In addition to the expansion, W. P. Carey agreed to the installation of a one-million-square-foot solar roof to support Nippon Express and W. P. Carey’s mutual commitment to sustainability. Now complete, the solar roof is one of the largest in Europe by generation capacity – generating approximately 14,000 MWh annually – and enables Nippon Express to significantly offset its carbon footprint.
