SungWon Choi joined W. P. Carey in 2009. He is responsible for business development, investor relations, and underwriting investment opportunities.
Before joining W. P. Carey, SungWon worked as a Risk Associate at GE Real Estate China and a Transaction Leader at GE Real Estate Services, Asia. He has international experience in various types of real estate related deals in many countries including China, India, Korea and South East Asia. His previous work experience includes evaluating various types of financings such as REO, debt, pre-IPO, public equity and mezzanine loans, as well as consulting for corporate industrial and commercial real estate firms in areas such as lease financing, built-to-suit financing, development project management and office consolidation.
SungWon graduated from Yonsei University in Seoul and completed the GE Financial Management Program. He is a member of CCIM and speaks English, Mandarin, and Korean.
