Mr. van der Beek joined W. P. Carey in November 2010 in the International Asset Management Group as Asset Manager, based in Amsterdam. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. van der Beek started his career at DTZ in the real estate valuations department. He then worked for the Dutch asset and investment manager Ping Properties, as a transactional asset manager.
Mr. van der Beek is originally from the Netherlands. He received a B.Sc. in Social Geography and Urban Planning and a M.Sc. in Real Estate from the University of Groningen. Later he attended the Amsterdam School of Real Estate. Mr. van der Beek is a keen skier and a native German speaker.
