Mr. Grut joined W. P. Carey’s Amsterdam Asset Management office in March 2009 as International Property Manager. He holds a M.Sc. in Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark, where he specialized in architectural engineering and construction management. He also holds state authorizations as a building surveyor and energy consultant from Denmark.
Mr. Grut has an international background, having previously lived in Denmark, South Africa, Italy and the United States. Prior to joining W. P. Carey he ran his own architectural and engineering company. Prior to that he worked for a property developer, a contractor and an architectural company. He has worked in a wide range of fields in the industry, including building inspections, architectural design, energy savings and project development. Mr. Grut is responsible for all properties administered by W. P. Carey outside of the USA.
