Mr. Franklin joined W. P. Carey in December 2005 as Second Vice President and Chief of Staff for the Office of the Chairman. He was promoted to Executive Director in 2010.
Prior to joining the firm, Major Franklin served on active duty in the United States Air Force (USAF) for over twelve years primarily as a B-52H instructor pilot. He has over 2,000 flight hours in the T-37, T-38, and B-52H aircraft. Major Franklin also held numerous non-flying positions including International Political Military Affairs Officer for the Middle East and Africa while assigned to the Joint Staff at the Pentagon, Foreign Liaison Officer under the USAF Chief of Staff, and Executive Officer for the Commanding General of Eighth Air Force.
Mr. Franklin holds a B.Sc. from the United States Air Force Academy where he graduated with military distinction, a M.A. in Organizational Management from The George Washington University, and a MBA from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. He currently serves as Director of the W. P. Carey Foundation and Treasurer of the New York Association of Graduates for the USAF Academy.
