Mr. Gordon joined Asset Management group in 2006 and was promoted to Director in 2010. He manages a diversified real estate portfolio valued at over $2 billion, encompassing approximately 18 million square feet across the United States. In addition to his transaction responsibilities, Mr. Gordon oversees the disposition and financing strategy for the domestic assets on behalf of the CPA® Programs and W. P. Carey & Co. LLC.
Mr. Gordon’s areas of expertise include credit analysis, dispositions, mortgage financing, bankruptcy, and restructuring, with a particular focus on tax efficient structures and multiparty transactions. Mr. Gordon earned his B.A. in Economics from Johns Hopkins University, with a finance concentration from the W. P. Carey Program in Entrepreneurship & Management, now part of the Carey Business School. He also graduated from Groton School in Groton, MA. A native of Newport, RI, Mr. Gordon is an avid tennis player and fly fisherman.
