Mr. Luoma joined W. P. Carey & Co. LLC in 2006. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Luoma had worked at UBS Investment Bank in asset-backed finance and with BMW Group research and development. Mr. Luoma holds a Master of Engineering from Oxford University in Materials Science, Economics and Management (MEM), and is reserve officer in the Finnish Navy.
Since joining the International Investments Team, Mr. Luoma has been involved in the closing of more than €800 million in long-term sale-leaseback and build-to-suit financing across Scandinavia and Continental Europe on behalf of W. P. Carey and its CPA® series of funds. He has extensive knowledge of financial modeling of complex foreign investment structures for both single and multi-jurisdictional real estate portfolios and has particular experience in the European retail and manufacturing sectors.
Mr. Luoma is fluent in Finnish.
