True Value Company (formerly known as TruServ Corporation), headquartered in Chicago, is one of the world’s largest member-owned wholesale hardware cooperatives with $2 billion in annual revenue. The cooperative includes approximately 5,800 independent retailer locations worldwide operating under the store identities of True Value, Grand Rental Station, Taylor Rental Center, Party Central, Home & Garden Showplace and Induserve Supply.

Established as Cotter & Company in 1948 by John Cotter, the co-op originated with 25 members. Known today as True Value Company, the co-op has grown considerably and today supports its retailers through 12 regional distribution centers and 3,000 associates.
