Arvi Luoma joined W. P. Carey in 2006 and currently serves as Managing Director and Head of European Investments. Based in London he oversees the origination, underwriting, structuring and closing of investments in Europe.

Since joining the firm, he has been directly involved in the structuring of more than €3.5 billion in sale and leaseback, net lease, build to suit, value add and joint venture investments across all major real estate asset classes. He has undertaken transactions in 17 countries including W. P. Carey’s first investments in Norway, Denmark, the Baltics, Spain and Portugal. In addition, he structured the firm’s first hospitality investments in Europe including the Roomers® Munich development, a Marriott Autograph Collection® hotel in Germany.

Arvi graduated magna cum laude from Oxford University with an MEng in Materials Science, Economics and Management. He is also a reserve officer in the Finnish Navy where he served as chairman of the Reserve Officer Course and he is fluent in Finnish.
